Nokia E52 now Available for P17,580

I’m still waiting for either the E55 or the E72 to become available locally, but for those who can live without the QWERTY keypad option, the new Nokia E52 is now available in the local market.

Nokia E52

It’s basically the QWERTY-less twin of the E55, and an upgrade to the Nokia E51 which was a big hit thanks to its nice balance of rich features and affordable price. Unfortunately, though, the Nokia E52 won’t be as following its predecessor as far as pricing goes as it’s currently retailing for P17,580 in all Nokia stores nationwide.

Likewise, even though the E52 is clearly far more superior as far as features are concerned, as Jayvee points out, the Nokia e51 still has an ace up its sleeve with BlackBerry Connect which the E52 and other new Nokia phones’ don’t and probably will never have.

Nokia E52: QWERTY-less twin of the E55

Nokia has just announced the new E52 smartphone.

Nokia E52

It looks like an identical twin of the Nokia E55 albeit the missing compact QWERTY keypad. Most of its specs are likewise the same with the E55 but it come with a slightly smaller internal memory of just 55MB (the E55 comes with 100MB). Its battery life, however, is quite impressive which is touted to last up to 8 hours of talk-time and up to 28 days of standby time.

Here’s a hands-on video courtesy of Nokia Conversations showcasing this new Eseries smartphone:

It’s scheduled to roll out in the 2H of 2009 with a slightly cheaper price of €245 or $325 USD before tax and subsides. If the Nokia E71 has the E63, it looks like the E55 has this new E52 as an alternative for those with an aversion to QWERTY keypads.
