Move over Xperia Z1! There’s a new king in the Sony Android empire. Let’s all give the Sony Xperia Z2 a warm round of applause.
So, what’s this new Xperia got to offer?
Compared to the Xperia Z1, the Sony Xperia Z2 rocks a slightly bigger 5.2-inch (vs 5-inch) 1080p HD display, 3GB (vs 2GB) of RAM, a slightly better 2.2MP (vs 2MP) front-facing cam, a slightly faster 2.3GHz (vs 2.2GHz) quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, is lighter (158g vs 170g), comes preinstalled with Android 4.4 KitKat, and can now record 4K videos.
The rest of its specs – 20.7MP main cam, 16GB onboard storage, IP58 certification, LTE connectivity, 3000mAh battery – is pretty much a carbon copy of its flagship predecessor.
We don’t yet, but what we do know is that the Xperia Z1 will begin its global retail store tour next month, just enough time for you gadget geeks out there to save up for this bad boy.
In the meantime, feel free to check out its full press release here while you all play the waiting game.
