Standard

Nokia has just announced the latest additions to their XpressMusic line, the 5730 XpressMusic and the 5630 XpressMusic.

Nokia 5730 XpressMusic

The 5730 XpressMusic is the first music-centric phone from the company to feature a full-QWERTY slide-out keypad. Apart from that distinction, it also comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics and LED flash, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 and HSDPA 3.6Mbps data connectivity. It’s got a paltry (by today’s standards) 100MB internal memory, but it’s a good thing though that it comes bundled with an 8GB microSD card. It’s available in black/red or black/monochrome and has an SRP of PhP18,750.

The 5630 XpressMusic, meanwhile, is a little bit more on the average side. It comes packed with a 2.2-inch QVGA display, 3.2-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, Bluetooth 2.0, and HSDPA 10.2Mbps data connectivity. What’s unique about this new XpressMusic offering is that it boasts of having “Say and Play” – a new feature that allows you to just say the name of the artist or title of the song and it will play it. It’s also bundled with a 4GB microSD card. The 5630 XpressMusic is available in black with red accent or grey with blue accent colored iterations and has an SRP of PhP13,020.

To further sweeten the deal, both phones come with 500 free tracks from Universal Music and free WiFi courtesy of Airborne Access for 60 days.

Music and more

The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is Nokia’s first music-optimized device to offer a slide-out QWERTY keyboard – ideal for quick messaging. The heart of this music device is the Homescreen for XpressMusic, providing access and dynamic information on music, people, games, email and calendar. The Homescreen features an improved contacts bar with up to 20 friends and family members and provides direct access to music, N-Gage and other applications, like Facebook, Photos, Ovi Contacts, Maps, messaging, and more. With Ovi Contacts, people see which friends are online, chat and even view what music they are listening to.
