5G iPod Nano with Camera now Available: 8GB-P8790, 16GB- P10490

The new iPod Nano (also referred to as the 5G iPod Nano) was, without question, the biggest star in Apple’s recent iPod event. While it may not be able to take pictures, it’s the first and currently the only iPod to boast of a camera.

The 8GB version retails for just P8790 while the 16GB variant is priced at P10,490 at the Apple Online Store. It should be available in local stores already for more or less the same price, but if you want to be different, you can buy it online and nab the Apple Store exclusive yellow gold or (PRODUCT) Red version and have it engraved for that personal touch. Shipping, by the way, is free as well.

Zune HD Video demos Gaming prowess

I’m not a huge fan of the Microsoft’s Zune device, but this new marketing video sure got me interested in the new Zune HD especially with its gaming potential. Look out for the Zune HD lying on its side when you reach the 0:32 mark of the video.

More Zune HD videos can be found here.

Redsnow 2G iPod Touch Beta Jailbreak now Available

It’s still not quite the user-friendly 2G iPod Touch jailbreak many were hoping for, but it’s a good start. The Redsnow 2G iPod Touch beta jailbreak is now available and can be downloaded here for Windows, Linux, and the Mac OS X running systems. Do note though that this is still a beta so expect a few kinks here and there.

If you’re a bit hesitant to use a command line-only interface, I suggest you wait for the iPhone Dev Team to release a GUI interface-based Redsnow for you to try out on your 2G iPod Touch.

UPDATE: The final user-friendly version is out now, and it also works on the iPhone 3G as well. Check it out here.
