Last week, Nokia Philippines officially launched the Nokia N97 in the local market.
Apart from what we already know about it, the Nokia N97 will come preloaded with Facebook Qik, some Twitter applications, and is the first Nokia phone to ship with Ovi Store installed already. If you can look past its rather expensive P34,000 selling price, the N97 promises to be one of Nokia’s most feature-packed and advanced phones to date.
However, if you’re a little strapped for catch, you could wait for several months to pass by for its price to go down, but I’d suggest you hold out for their equally impressive and more affordable E72 to debut later this year.

I’ve been holding out on buying myself a Nokia E71 for the longest time now, and it seems my procrastination has finally paid off as Nokia just announced the E72.

It sports a similar form factor with the E71, but adds a few design enhancements and hardware upgrades along the way. With a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, 10.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity, an optical navi-key, and faster S60 FP2 OS, the Nokia E72 definitely ups the ante in terms of functionality. It’s expected to become available later this year for roughly P22K.
More after the break.
